Taylor Swift Throwback Thursday: Christmas in Rockefeller Plaza
By Kara Johnson
With Christmas around the corner, this next week we’re spreading the Taylor Swift Christmas cheer by throwing it back to Swift’s performance at the Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree lighting.
Do you remember that Taylor Swift has a holiday collection EP out? If you forgot, well here’s a reminder. It’s a fantastic collection of holiday songs, and back in 2007, Swift shared a piece of it during the Christmas in Rockefeller tree lighting.
Her hair was curly and she was still a rising country star. We loved her back then and we still love her now. But, this performance, in particular, is one of our favorites and certainly puts us in the Christmas spirit. So, if you’ve never watched performance before or have but want to see it again, look no further than right here. You can check out the Christmasy performance of “Silent Night” below and after that, don’t forget to listen to the Taylor Swift Holiday Collection on Apple Music. It’s that time of year to celebrate, so why not celebrate in Swift style?
After all, it’s a very merry Swiftmas and we can’t get enough of Swift’s love for Christmas and these Christmas songs are just the icing on the cake. So, stop reading, watch the performance and get out your peppermint bark and hot chocolate. Christmas is upon us and this video will get you in the perfect holiday mood.
