On Saturday night, November 11, Taylor Swift took over Saturday Night Live as a musical guest and performed new material from Reputation.

We’ve been anticipating Swift’s first television appearance in three years and it certainly was a treat. Saturday Night Live was lucky to have the songstress back on their iconic stage to perform both “…Ready For It?” and an acoustic version of “Call It What You Want” from her sixth studio album reputation.

She first took the stage with an all-black ensemble and a snake-shaped microphone for her performance of “…Ready For It?”.  Swift took a chance at choreography during the performance and nailed it. It was an incredible performance and made us even more excited for her second one.

Later on, Swift stripped things down with an acoustic version of “Call It What You Want”. She sat on the end of the stage with just her voice and a guitar. Her vocals were on full display as she sang the track happily. She proved that not only can she be a mega pop star but she can also be a songwriter that makes you feel like you’re listening to her in a coffee shop.

This is the first televised performance for the reputation era and we are certainly hoping it won’t be the last. We are so glad our favorite girl is back with more confidence than ever before. Now excuse us as we go and watch these performances again and again and again.

Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album reputation is available everywhere now.
