They got rid of Kevin Spacey, so what if they did that with Johnny Depp?

With all the news coming out of Hollywood, many fans are wondering about what they’re going to do about Johnny Depp. Maybe a Kevin Spacey situation?

Johnny Depp is a problematic actor for Harry Potter fans. He’s had allegations against him that don’t really make fans too happy that he’s in the series, even as a villain. So what if they did what Ridley Scott is doing to Kevin Spacey?

For those who don’t know, Ridley recasted Spacey and is reshooting all his scenes for a movie coming out. He’s not changing the release day and is doing so for those who are upset with the allegations against Spacey.

When it comes to Depp, many are mixed on whether or not the allegations against him are true. To be quite honest, I think we should still take them seriously because they aren’t the first ones that point out Depp’s violent streak.

And when it comes to the Harry Potter series, he’s not exactly who we want to see. He’s not the best person to represent a character that, while evil, still meant a lot to Albus Dumbledore.

So why not recast him? There’s absolutely no reason why Collin Farrell couldn’t be Grindelwald. He just ended up as Gellert and then we would have a perfect Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel.

It’s not a witch hunt or something that is going to get done. But the idea that a man with a violent past is part of a series that features so heavily on a boy who is abused just makes many fans question the casting choice.

I just think that enough of us are angry about it and we should just change it up and not subject fans to someone in the movie that we definitely don’t want.
