Taylor Swift Throwback Thursday: A Prank On Keith Urban

Remember when Taylor Swift opened up for Keith Urban before headlining her own shows? We do too. We also remember the prank.

If your memory doesn’t go that far, it’s okay. We can help refresh it. Taylor Swift is a pro when it comes to pranking her tourmates, especially legend and country superstar Keith Urban. Back when Swift opened up shows for the country singer on his Escape Together World Tour. It’s hard to remember Swift opening up shows but it did happen at one time and it’s fun to go back and reminisce.

The prank happened in front of a sold-out show in Kansas City, Missouri on August 9. During the final performance, Swift thought it would be worthy of a fun night if she and her band dressed up as KISS and crashed Urban’s set. It was certainly a prank to remember.

Sporting face paint, platform boots, black wigs and spandex pants, Swift and her band parading onto the stage while Urban was performing his No1 “Kiss a Girl”. They remained on stage throughout the whole song, singing alongside Urban. There was no telling how Urban would react, but we think it’s safe to say he thought it was a funny prank. And then, after the prank ended and the show was over, Swift would never open up for a huge act again but would go on to headline sold out shows and become the most famous superstar in the world.

But for her to open up for another legend was a sight to see and this famous KISS prank will certainly go down in history books as one of the greatest pranks of all time. Check out the video below:
