Ed Sheeran appeared on the Capital FM earlier this week to discuss Taylor Swift’s new boyfriend and new album with host Roman Kemp.

According to a report by Metro UK on October 26, Sheeran acknowledged that Swift was dating someone new after pointing out that she’s been spending tons of time in London, England in recent months. He then proceeded to gush over Joe Alwyn’s friendly demeanor.

Not only did Sheeran tell Kemp that Sheeran was nice, he said that he was “really nice” and proceeded to gush over the British actor even more.

“Really, really friendly, really good dude,” Sheeran said, describing Swift’s latest flame.

Swift and Alwyn reportedly began dating one another around this time last year after Swift’s whirlwind romance with Tom Hiddleston came to an end. Since then, the couple has been seen together just a few times.

What does Ed Sheeran think of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, ‘Reputation’?

Not surprisingly, Sheeran had all good things about the upcoming release of Reputation, which is due out on November 10, and said that the songs featured on the album, which include “Look What You Made Me Do,” “Ready For It,” and “Gorgeous,” are “great.”

“I think the visuals, she’s really putting everything in to the visuals as well, the visuals are really impressive. I think people will like the album!” he said.

Swift and Sheeran have been close friends for several years and in 2012, they teamed up on the track “Everything Has Changed,” which was featured on Swift’s fourth studio album, Red.
