The Avalon Hi-Fi released their new single “Naomi Indigo” today and get ready, this is definitely one song you don’t want to miss! The song comes from their debut EP and is the second single released from the album.
Listening to the song, it really gives me the vibe of something you could see featured in Stranger Things. Which is just a really roundabout way of saying they have an 80s sound to them. But truly, close your eyes and listen and it’ll feel like you’re running in the rain to Andrew McCarthy and you’re Molly Ringwald. It’ll be your very own Pretty in Pink!
“And my dreams of her are dead,” the lyrics say, and honestly, who doesn’t love a song like that? Maybe it’s just me but still, the song is fun, makes you want to dance around, and pairs nicely with the band’s prior release “Eternity Now”.
Both songs can be found on The Avalon Hi-Fi’s debut album There In The Dark, releasing on Nov. 10 and honestly? I can’t wait for more! With a mix of the ’80s and the new wave sound that is sweeping our favorite bands, the Avalon Hi-Fi is definitely a band we’re all going to want to listen to more of.
