Maren Morris Talks About Taylor Swift as a Musician

Maren Morris made an appearance on Taylor Swift’s Spotify playlist and now she’s speaking about the songstress and her musicianship. 

When it comes to country stars and interviews, several people always ask about Taylor Swift. Do people really compare female country artists to Swift that often? Apparently so. But it’s not a bad comparison. It’s a compliment for many artists, and one of those artists is the country newcomer and Grammy-award winner Maren Morris.

It’s evident that Swift is a fan of the country artist, who began to make a name for herself in 2016. She’s got a hit album, and the pop star appears to enjoy it enough that she put her song “Sugar” on her Spotify playlist. If that isn’t a huge compliment, then we don’t know what is.

When Morris saw the playlist, she took to Twitter her reaction, and of course, was ecstatic.

And to make things better, Swift went on to like Morris’ tweet. All in all, we’re pretty sure it was a good day for the songstress. But for the first time since then, Morris was asked about Swift and if others compare her to the pop star in a recent interview with Coveteur. We love her answer and we love that she respects our favorite artist.

We agree with Morris. Swift is an incredible musician and artist. To be compared to her is an honor, and Morris, an incredulous musician, and songwriter herself recognizes Swift’s wonderful path to stardom. Do we smell a collaboration in the future? We hope so.
