Taylor Swift’s new worth substantially increased from 2016 to 2017.

According to the latest report regarding the singer’s earnings, Swift’s net worth had reached an impressive $170 million by the end of 2016. However, Swift wasn’t done at $170 million and as she continues to press on with her career, she is now said to be worth a whopping $280 million.

On October 8, Go Banking Rate revealed that Swift’s 1989 world tour had grossed around $200 million. That, added with endorsements from Apple, Diet Coke, and Keds, made for a pretty sweet bank account boost for Swift. Then, just one year later, Forbes magazine estimated that Swift had a net worth of $280 million.

As the outlet explained, Swift isn’t just a singer. She’s also a songwriter and, as Swift fans well know, she recently penned a track for Little Big Town titled “Better Man.”

Taylor Swift has made headlines for her high-profile romances

Swift has dated a number of famous men, including Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Cory Monteith, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston, but currently, she is doing her best to keep her relationship with Joe Alwyn on the down-low.

Swift has also made waves with her ongoing feud with rapper Kanye West. As fans will recall, West stole the mic from Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs and years later, he called her a “b***h” in his song “Famous” and took credit for her career.

Taylor Swift is one of the highest paid entertainers

In 2017, Swift made the Forbes Celebrity 100 list of the world’s highest-paid entertainers for the third straight year. Forbes also deemed Swift as one of America’s Richest Self-Made Women for the past two years.
