This year at Elsie fest, Darren Criss brought back Granger Danger. Which reminded us of just how amazing A Very Potter Musical is!
Granger Danger is quite a fun song when you think about it. Suddenly Ron and Draco realize that they both love Hermione and sing about their feelings. It is easy to sing and when you’re watching the musical, it gets caught in your head.
So is it a surprise that Darren Criss continues to sing it at events? Not really. Everyone usually sings along anyway. So at this years Elsie fest, Darren asked his former Glee co-star to join in. Jenna Ushkowitz took on the role of Draco Malfoy and thus this amazing duet was born.
Honestly it is just super fun to listen to songs back from Darren Criss’s early days. Before he was Blaine and before everyone was screaming after him. He was just a boy in college with his friends who loved Harry Potter.
It’d be fun if we ever got to see either another A Very Potter musical or if we got the original coming to Broadway (which probably will never happen). But I truly miss everything that had to do with Starkid.
They were fun and loved the series just as much as we do. And to see how they interweaved all the stories together was fun! Especially when there were songs from our favorite characters and we could sing. My personal favorite? The Coolest Girl. And I even sang it at auditions.
Next: A Sirius Black and Bellatrix Lestrange couple took on Comic Con
