Taylor Swift has something in common with actress and director Angelina Jolie.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, both women have joined a number of other celebrities who have purchased historic homes in the Los Angeles area with the intention of restoring the properties to their former glory.

As the outlet revealed, the Beverly Hills City Council granted Swift landmark status on her Beverly Hills home, which was previously built for and owned by film pioneer Samuel Goldwyn. Swift had initially purchased the 1930s build in 2015 but it wasn’t until earlier this year that her request to be a landmark was granted.

Months later, Angelina Jolie put in a $24.5 million offer on Cecil B. DeMille’s former estate in Los Feliz, which she plans to renovate in the coming years. According to The Hollywood Reporter, DeMille lived in the home from 1916 until he died in 1959.

Taylor Swift visits Los Angeles on occasion

While Swift seems to be splitting her time between New York City and England, where her boyfriend Joe Alwyn lives with his family, at the moment, she has been known to frequent Los Angeles and when she visits, it is assumed that she stays at the home.
