Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker, Mohammed Jaffar, has been declared mentally unfit.

According to a new report, Swift’s latest obsessed fan won’t be taking the stand anytime soon because a judge on his case has determined him to be unfit to stand trial. As TMZ explained to readers on September 26, Jaffar didn’t appear in court on Monday as scheduled and isn’t expect to face a jury of his peers in the coming weeks.

Following Jaffar’s would-have-been court hearing in New York City on Monday, September 25, a judge said he could not be tried on a stalking charge in his current state and would instead remain in custody at a mental health facility until he is able to stand trial.

Mohammed Jaffar first showed signs of a Taylor Swift obsession in 2014

As TMZ reported, Jaffar showed warning signs of being an obsessed fan in 2014 and continued to share alarming tweets to and about the singer for some time. Then, after police learned that he had been camping out on Swift’s roof and attempting to gain access to her home by ringing the doorbell for over an hour straight, he was taken into custody.

Taylor Swift has more positive things to focus on

While having to deal with a stalker is surely no walk in the park, Swift has plenty to be excited about these days. In fact, she has a lot to be happy about. In addition to her happy relationship with Joe Alwyn, Swift is preparing for the upcoming release of her new album, Reputation, in November.
