Just when we thought we’d reached peak Pumpkin Spice Latte madness, beauty brand Native is putting the overused flavoring…in our armpits?

Because someone always has to take things too far…

Being that Halloween happens in the fall, it should be expected that this time of year is a breeding ground for bad/questionable/ridiculous decisions. But I doubt anything can top this–a deodorant brand by the name of Native, is planning to release a new pumpkin spice latte-scented deodorant in September.

Native’s website describes the new scent as one that will make “a perfect holiday gift.”

Culturess readers everywhere, listen to me very carefully–NO!

PSLs are for drinking!

I understand following trends, I understand the mentality of “go big or go home” as it pertains to product development, I even understand how this might have sounded good in someone’s head or during a brainstorming meeting. But this is simply not a good idea.

Mixing PSL scent with other people’s body odor is the grossest thing I’ve had to think about today and seriously? Can we not make basic culture any more of a thing than it already is?

The new deodorant is set to roll out (yes that was an intentional pun) on Sept. 5. I already know a bunch of people are going to want to buy it so they can try it and you’re more than free to. Meanwhile I’ll be rolling on my tropical scented Suave and not-so-silently judging you ALL, while I sip a PSL.
