Is Katy Perry Planning To Address Her Feud With Taylor Swift During The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards?
Katy Perry is set to host the upcoming 2017 MTV Video Music Awards and the question on the minds of many fans is this: Will she address her longstanding feud with Taylor Swift during the broadcast?
Because Perry has been so vocal about her issues with Swift in recent months, it doesn’t seem too far fetched to think she might and according to a new report, she will likely say something about their years-long dispute.
“The VMAs are important to Katy because that is where she started her relationship with Russell Brand and she has very fond memories of the show through the years,” an insider told Hollywood Life on August 9.
That said, Perry is reportedly hoping to make new memories during the 2017 broadcast.
Katy Perry is aiming for a memorable appearance
“[Katy] wants to make the VMAs into the predictable show it once was, and do something that will be remembered forever. Yes, some reference to her feud [with Taylor Swift] will definitely happen, either through a performance or during the monologue,” the Hollywood Life insider added.
Katy Perry issued a public apology to Taylor Swift months ago — just after releasing her diss track
Just weeks after Perry released “Swish, Swish,” which is believed to have been her response to Swift’s “Bad Blood,” Perry said that she was sorry to Swift and forgave her.
“I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did,” the 32-year-old admitted during an interview with Ariana Huffington on the Thrive Global Podcast in June. “And I hope the same from her. I think it’s actually like…it’s time.”
