Hillary Clinton and husband go see Wonder Woman and we’re emotional

Want to feel connected to Hillary Clinton like never before? Well she went to a screening of Wonder Woman this weekend and we cried.

Love Hillary Clinton and Diana Prince? Did you think the only thing they had in common was that they are both strong women? Well, you’re not wrong but now we know for a fact that all of us who went and saw Wonder Woman have something in common with the popular vote winner of 2016.

That’s right, the Clintons took in a special showing of the superhero flick this weekend and, as usual, fans and supporters of Hillary were emotional. Why? Because the story of Wonder Woman hit home for a lot of us considering our current political climate.

We watched as this strong woman proved that she could do anything, she could save the world. After seeing a woman being torn apart by every man in sight for the last year and a half, it was wonderful to see a woman so celebrated as Diana Prince.

And to think about Hillary Clinton seeing that movie is both heartbreaking and uplifting. Hillary gave us so much hope. We looked to her and we believed in her, and it’s why she won the popular vote.

The two took in the screening at the Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn and, for those who don’t know, the theater has always been a big supporter of Hillary as well as Wonder Woman. This is the same theater that hosted the all female screenings of the movie.

So while it was just a nice screening for the former secretary of state and former president, it means a lot to us that Hillary saw that message and felt what many of us did watching her shatter the glass ceiling. We love you, Hill!
