Harry Potter memorabilia and what we all still have in our homes
We all love the Harry Potter series but there is always that one specific piece of memorabilia that, no matter what, will always be your favorite.
Being a Harry Potter fan is fun all around. You grew up in the world of magic and, at the end of the day, you’ll always have Hogwarts to call home. But one big thing that remains special to each Potter fan is the memorabilia. And it’s different for each one of us.
For me, my favorite Harry Potter thing I ever received was my copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It’s my favorite book in the series and, for some reason, I had written my address of my house in California in it. When I graduated college, we had to do a project that represented us.
So I decided to deconstruct a copy of the book and when I went to use my original, I got so emotional that I went out and bought a brand new one to destroy. But that’s not the thing I remembered first or something I cherish more than anything else but, weirdly enough, that is my one bit of Harry Potter memorabilia that I will not let anyone else touch.
I think it’s honestly all part of the experience of growing up with this series. We loved it so much that something so simple, like writing my name on the front inside cover, can make me sentimental.
I didn’t want to ruin what I had worked so hard to keep as a 7th grader. I wanted to make sure that no one took that book away from me in school and now, as an adult, I want to always have it.
