Selena Gomez didn’t receive a shoutout from her BFF on social media and she seemingly celebrated her 25th birthday without the singer as well.

As Gomez enjoyed the festivities of her 25th birthday in Los Angeles with several friends and her boyfriend, The Weeknd, Swift was on the other side of the country tending to a meeting in New York City.

“Thank you for all of my bday love,” Gomez wrote on Instagram along with a photo of herself preparing to blow out her birthday candles while sitting on a table. “I couldn’t be more blessed. A lot of you don’t realize how much you mean to me. I. Love. You. –think 25 is going to be epic.”

Although Swift didn’t share a birthday message on Instagram for Gomez on her special day, she did mention the upcoming event last week while promoting her new single, “Fetish.”

In a message to fans with a screenshot of the new single, Swift wrote, “Sultry pop magic from this dreamy almost-birthday-girl.”

During an interview last month on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up , via E! News, Gomez didn’t reveal much but said, “Honestly, if my friends are happy, that makes me happy. That’s all I care about… I’m super stoked.”
