Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta Talks Taylor Swift Comeback
For the past several months, Taylor Swift has been taking a much needed break from the spotlight.
However, while the singer is likely doing what is best for herself both personally and professionally, her fans are experiencing major withdraw and waiting on the edge of their seats for new music.
While an exact date for her return has not yet been announced, the man who discovered Swift years ago, Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta, recently opened up about Swift and her upcoming return while attending the Starkey “So the World May Hear” Award Gala.
“You can absolutely expect more Taylor Swift music,” he told E! News on July 17. “But, you know what, one of the things we always do with Taylor is she is the broadcaster. When she is ready to tell her fans when she’s coming back, she will do it.”
“We have a rule and a saying at the label: The first rule of the Taylor Club is don’t talk about Taylor Club,” Borchetta added.
Taylor Swift is working on new music
“Taylor has been writing and recording her new album in Nashville for the last several months,” a source told E! News in May. “She has been working on it around the clock and will be making an announcement soon. She is really excited about her new music and can’t wait to share it with her fans.”
Taylor Swift’s career is coming before her boyfriend?
According to the E! News source in May, Swift’s number one focus is on her music, not her new relationship with Joe Alwyn.
“She has been entirely focused on that and not much else. She has been 100 percent dedicated to making music the last few months and that’s it.”
