Taylor Swift’s case against alleged stalked Frank Hoover was reset for Friday, July 14 due to attorney’s wanting to clear up competency matters in front of the court judge according to the Statesmen.

Hoover has been accused of stalking and violating privacy against Swift. In 2016, Hoover was caught trying to enter Swift’s private jet following her concert at Circuit of the Americas. But this isn’t the only time Hoover has attempted to stalk the pop star. He has already faced a lifetime restraining order after coming 20-50 feet from her when tailing her motorcade at the airport. During that time, Hoover attempted to get a photo with Swift and accompany her on her flight.

The alleged stalker is also known for contacting Scott Swift, the singer’s dad, stating that he wants to marry his daughter and will agree to sign a prenuptial. He is also accused of sending over 30 emails with other random topics about Swift. The court has not stated whether they have these emails on file. But, according to court documents, Hoover has been diagnosed and hospitalized three times with mental health issues.

He is scheduled to have a court hearing Tuesday, July 11 to stand before Judge Clifford Brown. During the case, Hoover has been held at the county jail since his arrest back in November. The 40-year old has been charged with stalking and violating protective orders. He is expected to face two to ten years in prison. One can only hope that this case will come to an end soon and Swift can live in peace.

The court and attorneys will make sure Hoover is set for competency before the case moves forward. More updates are sure to come after the hearing on Tuesday.
