Little Women on PBS: meet the just-announced cast

His Little Women character: Laurie is Jo’s close friend and the only person wholly accepting of her professional ambitions and her rejection of gender roles. Their friendship is tested, however, when Laurie realizes his love for Jo is more than just platonic.

 Predecessors: Peter Lawford (1949), Douglass Montgomery (1933), and the Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale (1994). Lucas Grabeel of Switched at Birth and High School Musical fame is also set to play Laurie in Clare Niederpruem’s adaptation.
