The best of the fantastic beasts: The niffler and why he deserves more

If you saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the niffler probably became your favorite character. Why? Well, he’s adorable of course!

When Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them came out, many of us were more interested in one of Newt’s beasts than Newt Scamander himself. Well, that’s not entirely true. We love the humans in the movie as well but one beasts in particular stole our heart.

That creature? The niffler. This little platypus looking thing stole jewels and precious stones as well as our attention. But now fans want the niffler to have his own series. Why? Who knows but would we watch it? Probably.

For those who don’t know who this lovely creature is yet, please go watch the movie. He is absolutely perfect. The niffler has a little pouch that he loves to put jewels in. In fact he is loves it so much so that he often escapes just to steal.

And he also steals scenes. When we were supposed to be caring about Newt and Jacob, we were watching the niffler run into the bank and try and get into the vault. Mainly because he’s just too cute with his little webbed feet and need to have expensive things in his pouch.

So while he might not be able to carry a series all on his own, we’d all probably watch it and enjoy it.

So whether or not the niffler actually gets his own series is up in the air but nevertheless, we want more of him in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2. He was a bright light in the first film and really, who doesn’t want more of Newt having to chase him down and stop him from stealing things?
