For those Shakespeare lovers out there, get ready for Ophelia! And now, it’s been confirmed that Harry Potter alum Tom Felton will be joining the cast.
The Hamlet spin-off film titled Ophelia is shaping up to have quite the cast. From Daisy Ridley to Naomi Watts, the movie is going to have some amazing women in it. As it should as it focuses on the love interest in Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
Ophelia, the character driven to madness, has proven a difficult for women to play. So maybe this new film will give us a look at the character like we’ve never seen before. And we should be examining Shakespeare’s women roles more. They’re nuanced and interesting in a way that don’t see anymore.
Joining Tom is also Clive Owen, George MacKay, and Devon Terrell.
