Chris Craziness: And the Winner Is…

Although 64 celebrity Chrises entered our Chris Craziness, only one could emerge victorious, just as in March Madness. That winner is Chris Colfer.

Chris Craziness has come to an end. We started out with 64 names, including those of sports stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, TV’s Kris Jenner, musicians like Chris Isaak, and models like Christy Turlington. But all of them faltered along the way. 64 became 32, then the Sweet 16, then the Elite Eight, and then the Final Four.

It came down to Christopher Meloni of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fame, Chris Evans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chrissy Teigen and her Twitter skills among other things, and Glee alum turned writer Chris Colfer. The battles were fiercely fought over the weekend.

But only Colfer and Meloni advanced to the final round. You, the fans, voted on Twitter, and your votes put these two through for yesterday’s championship match. The mentions of @CulturessFS (which, also, give us a follow!) were filled with exhortations for other fans to vote, talking up users’ Chris of choice, and more.

The results are in. The poll has closed. We have a new Chris Craziness Champion, the ruler of famous Chrises everywhere (okay, not really that last part, but he is the Champion of Chris Craziness).

And his name is…

Chris Colfer!

Yes, Chris Colfer prevailed over Christopher Meloni by a 67-33 margin of votes, with nearly 600 people weighing in on this matter.

Of course, we do also have an NCAA national men’s basketball champion from March Madness, which is what inspired us to do this tournament in the first place. Congrats to North Carolina for getting the win over Gonzaga.
