10 Things That the First Day of Spring Has Us Excited About

7. Flowers

Spring flowers are truly the best part of the season. Why? Because it is gorgeous to walk around places and see all the flowers blooming! For instance, if you go to Gramercy Park in the springtime in New York City, you see some of the most beautiful trees to ever have existed.

And that’s just one park in one city! The entire United States (and London but I can’t account for every other city) has beautiful blooming flowers that take over the barren trees that had plagued our winters. Maybe that’s why spring feels so nice to so many of us. We’re used to everything looking dead and having no leaves or flowers in sight.

But if you’ve never experienced a real change in season (looking at you California), there is truly nothing more beautiful. As a kid living in California, I missed the flowers blooming and the smell of spring. And now, we’re almost there. Today is just the start but spring is coming and we’ll get to see that beautiful seasonal change and really, is there anything better than when the flowers are in bloom and you can easily walk around without a coat suffocating you? I don’t think so.
