4. Forgiveness (3.13)

"“Clarke. I’ve lost her.” “Give her time, Bellamy. There may be blood on your hands, but it’s not Lincoln’s.” “Maybe. But you didn’t want that to happen. You tried to stop it. Octavia will forgive you eventually. The question is, will you forgive yourself?” “Forgiveness is hard for us.”"

After spending most of the season separated, Clarke is with Bellamy, Octavia and Jasper once again, and they’re on a mission to find Luna – the last nightblood aside from Ontari – with the hopes that she can help them by taking the Flame and finding a way to stop ALIE. While waiting on the beach for their signal to catch the attention of Luna’s people, Bellamy walks off alone, putting space between himself and Octavia, who is still volatile after Lincoln’s death for which she blames Bellamy.

Clarke goes to him, looking to console him – even though they, too, are on shaky ground.

"“I was so angry at you for leaving. I don’t want to feel that way, anymore.” “You know, you’re not the only one trying to forgive yourself. Maybe we’ll get that someday. But we need each other, Bellamy. What we’re doing now – the only way we’re going to pull this off is together."

It was that moment of forgiveness, a make up and a hug – a callback to seasons 1 and season 2, with forgiveness and “together” – that put them back on track, back to a place of trust. They may be hurt, broken, and nearly hopeless – but if they’re back on the same team and working, leading together, they may just have a chance.
