American Horror Story is going to tackle the 2016 election next season and it will even feature Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton!
Ryan Murphy is known for pushing boundaries and now he’s going even further with American Horror Story Election. Taking on this past election cycle, Murphy is now including Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
For many, we want to know why. Just because it’s been such a long road to getting over the election. And for most of us, we still aren’t over it. So it’s going to be an interesting season to say the least. But at least it’s Ryan Murphy so there’s definitely going to be some weird thing happening.
My guess is that Trump makes a deal with the devil. But a week ago, Ryan told us that there’d be no Hillary or Trump. He’s now changed his story. Because again, he is Ryan Murphy. Murphy told E!News however that they won’t be the focal point. They’ll be in the season, just not the focus of the overall story.
"I think people literally think Sarah Paulson is playing Hillary Clinton. And I wanted to clarify that that is not true. Horror Story is always about allegory, so the election is allegory. It’s our jumping-off point. It is about the election we just went through and what happened on that night and the fallout of that night, which to many people, from all sides of the camps is a horror story. And you know, that show is always so fun when it’s about the Zeitgeist and what we’re doing now."
