Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast is quickly approaching us and now we have a new clip of “Belle” from the upcoming movie.
As someone who’s favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast, this new live-action film had those of us who love the cartoon worried. From stills of Lumiére and Cogsworth looking a little frightening, we were rightfully worried.
Then the clip of “Something There” leaked and it didn’t really help our fears. Not that it was bad, just that it wasn’t what we were used to. But all those fears have now vanished with our first real look at a major scene from the film. That film, you ask? Well, it’s the wonderful opening number of “Belle”.
When it comes to a live-action Disney remake, you have the die-hard fans to answer to. And as someone who has defended Beauty and the Beast all day, every day, I myself was super worried about this one.
But as the movie gets closer to a release and we see more and more clips, it looks so much better than any of us could have expected. And we’ve only gotten two real clips! From “Belle” and “Gaston”, the movie just seems to bring us the magic and romance that we loved in the original.
It didn’t take away anything that we loved (so far) and really, it’s just great to see a movie we love come to life like this. Honestly, this movie just looks like everything we all could have ever wanted.
