Check out Rupert Grint’s posh con man character in new stills released from the upcoming show Snatch.
We’re getting closer to the premiere date of Rupert Grint’s new TV show Snatch, and now we’re getting our first look at his character in these recently released promotional photos.
While Snatch is obviously based on the Guy Ritchie movie from 2000, it doesn’t seem to be a remake but a new story set in a similar world. Instead of a group of petty criminals tracking down a stolen diamond, Snatch the show follows a group of 20-something hustlers who get caught up in organized crime after finding a truckload of stolen gold bars. Get a look at Grint as the “utterly posh” con man Charlie Cavendish below.

Starring in the show alongside Rupert Grint are actors Luca Pasqualino (Skins, The Musketeers), Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens) and Dougray Scott (Hitman, Hemlock Grove).
The first teaser trailer for Snatch was released a few days ago, and you can also check it out below.
Starring in a gritty crime thriller made for mature audiences only is certainly a departure from the loveable Ron Weasley of Harry Potter universe, but it could be a good fit for Grint. While Daniel Radcliffe found his niche on stage and in quirky indie films very quickly and Emma Watson has transitioned into Hollywood flicks like Beauty and the Beast, Grint’s been under the radar pretty much since the credits rolled on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two. Grint could find real success with this show, especially considering he is also executive producing the series. Maybe Ron will be our new TV star!
