What Channel Is Super Bowl 51 On?

If you plan on watching the Super Bowl, you should have your channels straight. The game–and those commercials–are important for every person to see!

The Super Bowl is a pretty big deal. Okay, it’s more than a big deal. Many big box stores have sales on televisions specifically for the Super Bowl. And the majority of America tunes in to watch.

But there’s a very important, very simple question you may need the answer to:

What channel is Super Bowl 51 on?

Answer? FOX.

That’s not too much of a surprise, right? FOX shows football pretty much every Sunday during the regular season and during the wonky playoff schedule, too. The Simpsons make fun of the robot for the NFL. They’re peas in a pod.

But just knowing the big game is on FOX isn’t enough. Who’s your cable provider? Does it matter? What’s the HD version? You have to watch the game in HD, if you haven’t already gone out to purchase that 4K SUHD curved TV that’s on sale for this special occasion.

FOX is pretty much always Channel 2. For HD, many of the cable providers start in the 1000-range, which means your glorious HD picture is channel 1002. Or if you’re fancy like me, you can just talk into your remote and say, “Super Bowl,” and be taken straight where you need to go.

The Super Bowl itself begins at 6:30pm EST, but that’s not when the action starts. Before that, you have the singing of the National Anthem and the singing of “America the Beautiful” by the original Schuyler Sisters from Hamilton.

The entertainment is nearly endless from midday Sunday until almost midnight.
