It’s time for a new episode of Scandal! And that means it’s time to watch Olivia Pope run the world as she tries to prove Cyrus is a murderer.
Here’s the thing: I have never, never in the history of this show, liked Cyrus Beene. I’ve been waiting for his death and / or demise since season 1. And it’s not because he’s a bad person, because I love Joe Morton / Eli Pope. I just have beef with Cyrus in particular, maybe even Jeff Perry. He was on Grey’s Anatomy and played a similarly distasteful person, so let’s just leave it at that.
Based on last week’s episode, we can safely assume that Cyrus did, in fact, kill Frankie Vargas. Or at least, orchestrate his murderer via his boyfriend, Tom. All signs point to Cyrus being very comfortable with doing this, but Shonda Rhimes’ shows aren’t supposed to be so easy to decipher.

Say it with me now: Olivia is fierce. Olivia is strong. Olivia runs the world. Obviously, the endgame of this show is Olivia in the Oval Office. Why do both words start with the letter O? Because they belong together. And the best case scenario is that she achieves this completely independent of Fitzgerald Grant!
