New web series Another Castle will take the bull by the horn and will tackle sexism against women in nerd and gaming culture.
Have you seen The Leslie? The hilarious web series about Leslie Clark’s coming-out journey. If you haven’t, I highly suggest you do so. At least check out the trailer for it:
Written by the incredible Kate Johnson, this web series has a mighty following and was recently ‘renewed’ for a second season. And if you liked what you saw here, then you’ll love what I’m about to tell you. Johnson has teamed up with Samantha Sutliff to co-write Another Castle through Popcorn & Wine Productions. Let me introduce you to them:
They want to hit on subjects like sexism, feminism, and ultimately, equal rights in our world in their new series. All while nerding out over fantasy, gaming, and superheroes. I mean, does it get any better?
Co-founder of Popcorn & Wine Productions Ruby Goldin has a few words about that:
“In the wake of such a hateful presidential election and an ongoing landscape where intolerance is again becoming the norm, we find it imperative to join the fight for basic equality for all,” says Goldin. “Through Another Castle, we look forward to providing both an entertaining original web series and a glimpse into one of the most intolerant cultural universes existing in today’s America.”
