How to Watch Super Bowl 51 on PS4, Xbox One, and Apple TV

It’s time for the Super Bowl! Which really means, it’s time to figure out how to watch Super Bowl 51 without having a traditional cable subscription!

Okay, let’s just cut to the chase — cable subscriptions are becoming obsolete to anyone who knows how to stream and would much rather pay for crystal clear WiFi. Especially when you find yourself saying things like, “I don’t even watch TV anymore.” For many of us, watching something online the next day is just as satisfying as watching it live on TV minus the $75-$100 a month you pay for 100 channels.

But the Super Bowl is one of those can’t miss events. Even if you’re not tuning in for the football, the halftime show is its own competition in and of itself. (Janet still wins for most-talked-about performance, right? CBS put it at No. 4 with this incredible line, “Yes, you read that right: Janet Jackson’s nipple spawned YouTube.”) Usually, Beyonce comes in and reminds everyone that girls run the world and whatnot, but this year, Lady Gaga will be taking the stage.

Admittedly, it’s a weird and divisive time for America right now. Consider how outspoken she’s always been in the past, Lady Gaga may use this Super Bowl opportunity to speak on some of the issues she’s advocated for in the past. Football with a side of politics, if you will.

Now, there are a couple different ways to tune into the biggest sports event of the year. Sometimes, you have to get creative. For game systems like the PS4 or Xbox, you’re going to have to go through Fox Sports GO. On the Apple TV or any iOS system, you’re going to have to download the app specifically to access the streaming service.

Of course, this applies to any streaming gear you may have — like Chrome Cast or Roku. However, Fox needs a subscription and it may not be available in all areas.
