The Harry Potter Celebration is under way this year and Saturday is full of amazing fan events including a tribute to the series!
It seems as if A Celebration of Harry Potter started off with quite a bang this year. From the announcement of the Forbidden Forest expansion to all star guests, this year’s festivities are quite amazing.
Unfortunately during the first night of the celebration, Ollivander actor John Hurt passed away. It is a tragic death and one fans of Harry Potter felt throughout the world. And with the second day of the celebration being dedicated to tributes to the series, there should be remembrances for John as there were for Alan Rickman the year before.

So far, apart from the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them discovering their patronuses, there was only one really big announcement. There will be a Forbidden Forest expansion to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour starting in March of this year.
Now, today is promising to hold “big surprises” for Potter fans. So we’re have to keep everyone up to date on what is being announced. We don’t know what the people at Pottermore and the creators of Harry Potter have in store for us. But hopefully it is something completely magical.

Who knows what announcements we’ll get today but we’re excited to see what the festival has in store for us! Maybe we’ll get some Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them information or a date for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to hit Broadway!
