While Tatiana Maslany is only one person, she plays multiple roles on Orphan Black. And each one would partake in the Women’s March.
Production for the fifth and final season of Orphan Black is currently underway. Of course, this ties up our Emmy-winning star for a good chunk of time. Unlike other TV stars, Tatiana Maslany has to shoot scenes for multiples roles since she plays Sarah Manning, Allison Hendrix, Krystal Goderitch, Beth Childs, Cosima Niehaus, Helena and Rachel Duncan … and that’s just a couple of them. Keep in mind that, while they are clones, these characters come from different nationalities and require full hair and make-up. It’s pretty intense.
In addition to being played all by Tatiana Maslany, they share something else in common: feminism.
On her social media platform, Maslany shared a collage of clones supporting the Women’s March. Check it out below:
The caption reads, “Some gals who wished they could’ve been at the #womensmarch and [hearts] are on fire for all those who were. #thefutureisfemale #clone club”. Plus, Helena and Alison are wearing Pussyhats, too. Though, I’m also pretty excited to see Cosima, you know, not dead.
When we last saw the clones, Cosima finally reunited with Delphine but was on the verge of dying from hypothermia. She was able to share that she found a cure. Meanwhile, Rachel turned on the Clone Club (again!). Sara was left for dead as well, as Ferdinand took Siobhan and Kira hostage. Plus, we discovered that the original Neolutionist — P.T. Westmoreland — was still alive and actually not far from Rachel’s location. The season ended with the promise that the pair would meet soon, which is Rachel’s ultimate dream come true.
