Club Chemistry, a nightlife hotspot in Canterbury, is throwing a Harry Potter-themed bash in just a few days. Grab your wands and come on down.
You can never have too many Harry Potter-themed parties. After it had huge success with a Potter party last September, Club Chemistry in Canterbury will host another Potter-themed night this Thursday, January 26, and all are invited.
Club Chemistry is pulling out all the stops, according to KentLive. Patrons, of course, are asked to come in Hogwarts dress, or as their favorite character from the novels or movies. But if they’re a little sparse, the club is handing out Potter spectacle, Gryffindor and Slytherin house ties and magic wands. On top of that, the club will be “transformed” into Hogwarts, which may something you’ll have to see up close to fully appreciate.
A Chemistry spokesperson got into specifics:
"Enter through platform 9 3/4, pick your house out of the sorting hat, collect your house tie, magic wand and free potter spectacles then go bust out your best muggle moves on the dancefloor. Expect a mix of the biggest Indie, Rock, Pop Punk and Alternative Anthems all mixed in with classic hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and the Harry Potter movies."
Hopefully they’ll play this banger of a main title remix. Harry stops by at the 1:00 mark to drop the beat:
Also featured at the party: Quidditch pong, butterbeer and shots taken directly from the Goblet of Fire. You can’t afford not to go to this.
The cover is £3 before 11pm and £5 before midnight. The event is being put on with an aim to welcome back students returning to the university town after their winter breaks, but all Harry Potter fans are welcome.
