Recently, J.K Rowling announced she was working on a new book under her own name. Since, many have wondered what it’d be about and now we have a clue!
J.K Rowling has continued to bait us into her world of “write a novel and then you all have to wait”. Recently, she talked about her newest project: two different books at the same time. The Harry Potter author admitted that one book was part of the Cormoran Strike series and the other would be a new work under her own name.
The question that remains now is: What is this new book about? First of all, we’d love if she announced that the new book was, in fact, a Marauder’s series. Because I will forever and always campaign for that book series until the day I die.
But now, with this new clue from Rowling, we have our first clue to what it could mean.

Could the macabre painting be referencing something magical? Could this new book really take place in the world of Harry Potter? We know Rowling said she wouldn’t be writing a book following Newt Scamander and his journeys but maybe she’s exploring some other area of the wizarding world.
We don’t know what it could be about but at least it is new work from one of our favorite authors. Rowling has been working hard on the scripts for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them so it’ll be nice to have her writing novels once again.
