This month Turner Classic Movies will remember Debbie Reynolds with a 24-hour movie marathon featuring 12 of her classic films.
Icon Debbie Reynolds passed away on December 28, 2016, and for fans of classic film, it was the shocking loss of a legend. So Turner Classic Movies will be helping us all grieve by showing 12 of Reynolds’ classic films in a row.
Beginning at 6 am on January 27th appropriately with It Started With a Kiss, TCM will pay tribute to the actress by showing a selection of her huge library of films. Reynolds is perhaps best known for Singing in the Rain.

Reynolds passed away suddenly after suffering a stroke the day after her daughter Carrie Fisher. HBO had planned to release a documentary of the two later in 2017 but after their deaths moved up the date to January 7th. The documentary, Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, was shot in 2015 and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. Fans of the duo won’t want to miss it as it’s said to be a beautiful love story between a mother and daughter.

Stunning! It’s easy to see how Debbie Reynolds gained so many fans, isn’t it? Singin’ in the Rain will air about halfway through the 24-hour marathon (around 6 pm E.T.) directly after I Love Melvin and right before The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Also airing during the marathon will be How the West was Won, The Mating Game, Bundle of Joy, The Singing Nun, plus a few more.
