The ending of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them left us believing that Credence Barebone had died. Now, is that actually true?
Credence Barebone is a character in the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He is becoming one of the most interesting characters in the entire series. Because of his upbringing, Credence becomes an obsurcial and ends up letting his obscurus run free. It kills his adoptive mother and Henry Shaw Jr. before Percival realizes that the obsurcus is Credence.
At the end of the movie, all the aurors end up killing him on the president’s order and everyone thinks that Credence is gone. But David Heyman and Ezra Miller both have expressed the importance of him in the long run of the series and now there was a deleted scene that shows that Credence survives.
In the deleted scene, it is clear that maybe Credence Barebone isn’t gone after all. Actually, from all the rumors we’ve heard, he’s going to be one of the main characters as the series progresses. The scene shows more of Credence’s obsurus flying away and forming a little of Credence once more.
Why the scene was deleted is anyone’s guess. It had already been spoiled that he would be back and now, it just seems like they’re trying to hide that fact. No matter, the movie is fantastic and Credence Barebone was a great character to add to the series.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is in theaters now and you can see for yourself if Credence Barebone is alive and well or actually dead. But, either way, go and see the movie. It is great and it is an amazing addition to the Harry Potter series.
