Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Ghosts of Christmas Eve
October 21, 2016

It’s just not the holiday season without Trans-Siberian Orchestra melting our faces off with some rock ‘n’ rolled versions of some of the best Christmas songs. The Ghosts of Christmas Eve was first released in 1999 as a made for TV movie. The basic plot is that a girl runs away and takes shelter in an abandoned theater on Christmas Eve. Through the music, she experiences visions from the past in the theater.

The New York Times reviewed the movie, saying,

"“…the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has carried out a mission to create powerful artistry in music through the webbing of songs together by means of storytelling…artists like Jewel and Michael Crawford bring their own unique twists to a musical exploration of art and the Christmas spirit.”"

Last year during their winter/Christmas tour, Trans-Siberian Orchestra performed the movie as a live event. They will perform the same live version of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve this year.
