As the Harry Potter renaissance marches on, fans are in for re-releases of some of their favorite Potter-related books. A new wave of rereleases is coming next year, in March. Recently, the covers for these books have surfaced online. Let’s check ’em out, starting with the one for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. (That’s the textbook, not the movie script.)Image: Amazon
A copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them resides in almost every wizarding household in the country. Now Muggles too have the chance to discover where the Quintaped lives, what the Puffskein eats, and why it is best not to leave milk out for a Knarl.
Proceeds from the sale of this edition will go to fund Comic Relief, a major charity in the UK. That was true when Fantastic Beasts first hit store shelves, and it’s true now.
There’s also an eBook version of Fantastic Beasts coming out with a cover by illustrator Olly Moss. Head here to check it out.Image: Amazon
If you have ever asked yourself where the Golden Snitch came from, how the Bludgers came into existence, or why the Wigtown Wanderers have pictures of meat cleavers on their robes, you needQuidditch Through the Ages. This invaluable volume is consulted by young Quidditch fans on an almost daily basis.
Proceeds from sales of this book will also go toward Comic Relief. Both of the above descriptions are purportedly written by Albus Dumbledore, by the way. They guy penned a lot of forwards in his day.Image: Amazon
The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a wizarding classic, first came to Muggle readers’ attention in the book known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, thanks to Hermione Granger’s new translation from the ancient runes, we present this stunning edition with an introduction, notes, and illustrations by J.K. Rowling, and extensive commentary by Albus Dumbledore.
This is getting twisty. So the description acknowledges the existence of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but maintains that both Dumbledore and Hermione Granger were involved in this edition. Do the Harry Potter novels exist in the Potterverse?
I’m probably thinking about it too much. This tone contains such stories as “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot,” “The Fountain of Fair Fortune,” “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart,” “Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump,” and “The Tale of the Three Brothers.”
In addition to commentary by Albus Dumbledore, these books contain “extensive commentary by Albus Dumbledore.” The worlds are clashing, man.
All of these volumes will be available on March 14, 2017.
