Limetown
And now, for something completely different – a fictional podcast. Limetown is the untrue-but-super-compelling story of a reporter named Lia Haddock, who investigates the decade-old disappearance of an entire town; three-hundred people, including her uncle. Lia covers the background of Limetown, interviews researchers who have studied it, and eventually finds survivors, all while being haunted by some person or thing who doesn’t want her to find out.
Limetown is set up like a radio show, but it feels like a horror story. There are mad scientists, creepy, threatening phone calls, harrowing 911 tapes, and a dark, encroaching presence that threatens not only Lia’s work, but the safety of everyone she speaks to.
The brilliance of Limetown has a lot to do with Annie-Sage Whitehurst, the actress who voices Lia. Her work is outstanding, so much so that many listeners, especially in the first few episodes, really believe the story is real.

If you’re into mystery, science fiction, horror, or just uniquely creepy storytelling, give Limetown a listen – but maybe not at night.
Where To Start: Since it’s a fictional story, you have to listen from the beginning for it to make sense. Start with “Episode 1: What We Know.”
