Track 3: “An Act Of Kindness”, 3:28

“An act of kindness is what you showed to me. Not more than I can take.”

Not only do these lyrics grab me and give me some feels, but the music is great. There are some cool synth effects that I don’t feel take away from the music. At about 1:00, the music swells and really picks up, adding lots of layers of sound.

"“An act of kindness Is what you show to me Not more than I can take Oh, not more than I can take Kindness is what you show to me It holds me ’till I ache Overflow and start to break”"

I really love how Dan sings, “Kindness” almost as if it’s a run. He shows off his vocal control with that one word, and you’re not really expecting it, so it adds a neat dimension to the song.

I really just love the message of this song, which is why I choose it as my favorite. Other than cool music, which it has, it has the coolest message. Be kind, everyone. To everyone. Always.
