But seriously, you should f*** off.

In Season 1, a reporter hunts Stella down in her hotel to ask her questions about her investigation. This is totally not cool and even though he offers to speak “off the record”, Stella very obviously (and repeatedly) states that she doesn’t want to talk to him. Of course, he continues to bother her, refusing to take no for an answer. How many times has a guy just not gotten the picture when you’ve said no at a bar? And this is supposed to be a professional discussion. Can you just allow her to enjoy her evening in peace?

Eventually, Stella uses two very forceful words to tell him to back off, and casually goes back to drinking her wine and reading the paper. Slow clap for this one. Stella is unapologetic in her demands for dudes to take her freaking seriously throughout the show and never hesitates to tell them to “f*** off”. Of course, she then gets in trouble for speaking to him at all, despite the fact that she repeatedly asked him to leave her alone. Stella just can’t win either way apparently. Sounds familiar!

Luckily, Stella couldn’t care less about their judgey glances and just continues to actually do her job.
