When reports came out that Harrison Ford broke his leg in 2014 on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I swear my heart leapt into my throat. Ford is 73 now, 71 at the time of the accident, when the Millennium Falcon fell and crushed his left leg. He needed surgery, which is always dangerous for anyone, let alone someone of advanced age. He survived, thank goodness, but for how much longer?
Harrison Ford is the dreamboat that both you and your mom can agree would make a fantastic husband. As Indiana Jones, it was no wonder all his students were in love with me. (Girl, I would write “I love you” on my eyelids for him too.) Not only is he a fantastic actor, nominated for a best actor Oscar for Witness and for multiple Golden Globes, but he’s also anchored multiple massive film franchises. He’s done with Star Wars now (presumably he won’t come back from a lightsaber to the belly), but we need to keep him safe in 2016 so he can finish his work in Indiana Jones 5 (and redeem Indy from the mess that was The Crystal Skull) and the upcoming Blade Runner sequel. There’s no Blade Runner without Harrison Ford!
