6. American Horror Story (FX)

Premiere Date: September 14th

The Season 6 installment is a mystery to fans and entertainment writers. We are not sure even FX knows what is happening this season. AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy and company have been exceptionally tight-lipped on what will happen this fall. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Murphy did say “The next thing we’re crafting up is very very different than [Hotel], not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark.” Just to throw fans off the theme of season six, FX purposely made fake teaser trailers. We can not even confirm the official promotional poster with the house and the smoke signal above with a six and question mark will have anything to do with the actual show. The official theme will not be revealed until the season premiere.

What we do know for sure is who is in the cast for the season. AHS acting staples like Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett will be back for the new season. Other notable AHS alumni returning this season is Denis O’Hare, Wes Bentley, and Matt Bomer. What is exciting is the casting of Cuba Gooding Jr. and Leslie Jordan who can both come with an impressive amount of comedic and dramatic experience.
