47. Jaime’s Traveling Clothes (Season 5)

After standing around uncomfortably in his gold armor in King’s Landing since he returned home at the end of Season 3, seeing Jaime Lannister head back out on the road in brown and red leathers for Season 5 was a sight for sore eyes. Getting out of King’s Landing (and away from the toxic relationship he has with twin sister Cersei) is clearly good for his soul and his sartorial choices.

We haven’t seen Jaime look this shockingly handsome since the first season. No wonder when he arrived to take Bronn away to Dorne, Lollys immediately started simpering. (Yes, it is her default setting, but faced with this, you’d likely simper too.) It’s also the outfit in which he looks the most comfortable all season, and that’s even taking into account the gold hand. Compare, for instance, to how uncomfortable he looks later on, when forced into Dornish outfits, especially in the palace. But then again, once he arrives in Dorne, everything goes wrong, including, well the entire concept of Dorne. The point is, Jaime belongs on the road. Let’s hope he’s not trapped in King’s Landing too long, now that he has returned.
