18. Rear Window, with Lauren Cohan

Rear Window is a well-known Alfred Hitchcock movie that has been remade several times before, but always with a male lead. The original, which is probably the best known version, starred Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly in memorable parts – and it’s also one of my personal favorite movies of all time. However, it was later remade with Christopher Reeve in the part; the movie Disturbia, starring Shia LaBeouf was also loosely inspired by the plot of Rear Window. The moral of the story is that you shouldn’t spy on your neighbors when you’re bored; you might accidentally uncover a murder plot that someone is desperate to keep a secret.

Lauren Cohan has been a recurring actress on several horror-based shows already; she currently stars as Maggie on AMC’s The Walking Dead, but she’s also been the lead in the recent supernatural horror flick The Boy. While the premise of that movie is way too creepy for me to ever want to see in theaters, Cohan’s ability to convey great terror in terrifying situations makes her an ace choice to be the incapacitated and unsuspecting character in Rear Window who finds it impossible to leave her apartment – even when she wants to investigate suspicious goings-on.
