#9: “Chandelier” by Sia on “1000 Forms of Fear” 2014

Sia speaks to my soul.

She’s been around the music scene for a long time, like since the mid-90s. She’s been a song writer for tons of artists, penning such hits as Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Invincible”. But has only recently jumped into the mainstream with her own recordings, including her latest radio hit “Cheap Thrills“. “Cheap Thrills” may be a fun party anthem, but forget about that for a second. “Chandelier” is one of those emotional ballads that will stick with you for a long time and Sia’s powerhouse voice will shake your very foundation.

Literally, turn this tune up loud enough and it may knock your house off it’s blocks, not just the foundation of your liiiiffffeeee. But it may do that, too. Actually, if it doesn’t, I may question if you’re actually human.
