It’s party time at Barnes and Noble bookstores for the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

Bookseller Barnes and Noble announced their nationwide plans for the parties celebrating the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at their stores. It’s good to know that the nation’s largest retail bookseller still knows there is a lot of love for all things Potter and are at work supporting fun for fans.
The events will start before the parties, on Friday, June 24, at 7 PM all BN stores will have fun-filled activities for all ages to ramp up the excitement for Harry Potter. Customers will be able to enter a sweepstakes to win a set of 7 Harry Potter Limited Edition Cover Prints. There will be coloring stations with Hogwarts house crests and an Owl Post Postcard to invite friends to the party.
Stores will also have 3D puzzle assembly of a Wrebbit 3D™ Hogwarts™ Astronomy Tower, trivia events and giveaways including Harry Potter vintage posters and bookmarks.
At the same time Barnes & Noble Café will have special Harry Potter-themed treats and drinks: Chocolate Witchout Cupcake from the Cheescake Factory (a Barnes & Noble Café exclusive), Witch Hat and Cauldron Decorated Shortbread Cookies from the Decorated Cookie Company, and Passion Potion Iced Tea, “a bewitching shaken blend of brewed passion tea, raspberry and vanilla flavors.”
The Countdown to Midnight Party events will start at 8pm on July 30th and culminate at midnight with the official release of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Special Rehearsal Edition Script Book. Each store will host party giveaways and at midnight two winners will be chosen at random from the cover prints sweepstakes entries. There will also be Muggle Walls where customers can share their favorite Potter moments.
After picking up books at midnight, fans can rush home to read the book and return to stores on July 31st to talk about Cursed Child and have fun with more Harry Potter-themed events including activities and giveaways.
