Game of Thrones season 8: The return of our very favorite game

Game of Thrones season 8 is still being made, but now, there’s a new round of our very favorite game to play: tracking down the main members of the cast.

Game of Thrones production has made it more difficult than ever for fans to figure out what’s going on — deleted Instagram videos are just the latest iteration. But that hasn’t stopped some people from casually making the kinds of tweets that allow us here at Culturess to play Where in the World is Kit Harington?

Yes, readers, it is back from the grave. I’ve missed it. Have you?

Anyway, this report comes to us via r/freefolk, and ultimately on Twitter. Sadly, it does not come with photographic evidence, but it appears that Jon Snow has returned to the heart of Game of Thrones season 8 production: Belfast.

Now, if you wanted to suspect that Harington being back in town might have something to do with Carice van Houten allegedly being back in town per her now-missing Instagram video, we would say that we have no concrete knowledge that the two things could possibly be connected. Really, it’s just all circumstantial at this point.

But after quite a lot of time just trying to spin out theories on precious little information, we’ll take what we can get. Besides, as we said, we just enjoy the game itself at this point. It wouldn’t surprise us if the two of them end up doing some scenes together, whether towards the end of the series or in the beginning of the final season. At this point, Melisandre’s pretty firmly linked to the mystical side of things — and to Jon as an extension of that mysticism.

So, in that sense, it would be quite logical for the Red Woman and the former King in the North / the White Wolf to meet again as war rages on. But of course, we’re not saying that it’s going to happen. We’re merely quite suspicious.

What do you make of it, Game of Thrones fans? How long do you think Harington will be in Belfast?
