Chris Craziness: March Madness Round of 64: Chris Isaak vs. Christina Hendricks

facebooktwitterreddit

The next matchup in our March Madness spinoff, Chris Craziness, pits a singer against the actress behind Joan Holloway herself!

Chris Craziness and March Madness both continue today, but we’re more interested in the former rather than the latter here on Culturess. Yesterday saw four more Chrises advance to the Round of 32. They are: Christina El Moussa, Chris Tucker, Chris Hadfield, and Christina Applegate. However, they need some competition in the next round. One of the following two Chrises may very well knock one of them out! It all depends on your votes on Twitter.

Round 5

Chris Isaak (Singer)

If you know Chris Isaak’s name, you probably know about the above song he’s singing. If you don’t, you may as well want to watch the above video, since “Wicked Game” remains one of his biggest tracks. However, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have other work for you to listen to; his own website lists some recent albums, and he’s also on tour.

Additionally, he’s done some work on the Australian version of The X Factorprimarily as a judge … and if you don’t think that at least one contestant took on “Wicked Game,” you’d be wrong, and Chris Isaak was very gracious even in his silver suit.

But will his famous voice be enough to get him into the next round, or will he succumb to the more recent work of his opponent today?

Christina Hendricks (Actress)

Let’s face it: if there was a best part about Mad Men, it probably wasn’t Don Draper. It’s really between Joan Holloway and Peggy Olson, and since Elisabeth Moss isn’t a Chris, it’s up to Christina Hendricks to take up the flag for Mad Men fans everywhere in Chris Craziness. Obviously, Joan remains Hendricks’ best-known character, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a fairly extensive body of work that includes appearances on ERHap and Leonard, and more, per IMDb.

She’s just as recognizable for her hair, though, which is usually red, and her figure. However, she’s revealed before, like in this interview with The Guardian, that she actually dyes her hair because of her love of Anne of Green Gables of all things. At the same time, though, she doesn’t take nonsense like questions about her body in that same interview, and that’s a pretty good case for her getting your votes.

Go vote!

However, we can’t make your decisions for you when it comes to choosing your Chris of choice! Go ahead and vote in the poll above.
